The Fight Continues

I officially launched my campaign for the State Senate seat in my district on December 17th, 2021. It’s now over a year later and Election Day has come and gone. Many of the great friends that I made in the Senate were reelected, to my great happiness! Myself, and my two colleagues who ran with me lost, however, and abortion played a huge role. I received, in fact, the least amount of votes in my suburb, and I think the reason is my outspokenness against abortion. I heard through a friend that my opponent was not at all worried I would win and that he called me a name: an “anti-abortion activist.” That made me smile. I’ve never been called an “activist.” I guess all I have to say in response is - “I resemble that remark.”

In keeping with my new activist title, below is an article I wrote that was just published today regarding abortion, its history in the eugenic movement, and its effect on the elimination of black people. Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey have been overturned. Hallelujah. All glory to God. And high praise and congratulations to the many people (atheists, Democrats, blacks, Latino, white, progressives, Protestant, Catholics) in the pro-life movement for their tenacity, zeal, and perseverance over the past decades who fought for these cases to be overturned. But abortion is still legal. We still allow in this country (and we fund beyond the U.S.) a particular class of people to have no rights and to be legally killed before they’re born. So. We still have work to do. And if anything, we will not quiet down or temper our message, but we intend to become more bold, more outspoken and even more in-your-face. Abortion is wrong. And we’re right.
